CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLAN - ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT (CIP-AA)
SUB COMMITTEE OF SBDM
In order to guide the improvement of student performance, the district and each campus annually develop and/or revise campus improvement plans (CIP). The planning process is guided by established local, state, and federal requirements.
A campus improvement plan is a focused action plan for the campus that defines student achievement goals, establishes instructional strategies for the campus community, and sets priorities. The construction of a CIP requires evaluation of existing campus goals, making decisions based on relevant data; investigation of best practices, such as the "Core Practices Framework"; and knowledge of what to monitor and how to adjust throughout the school year.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To advance and promote campus improvement plan (CIP) through core beliefs using parent's engagement and action plans created to stimulate academic excellence and educational maturing in struggling students.
FOCUS:
- Parents are responsible for their children's development, as a focus we want to be a conduit for energizing & creating a moral & social expectation of our children’s growth through parental involvement.
- Our core belief has to start with the education of our parents and how we relay the message, to enthuse vigor and excitement in our child's growth. Showing our children how much their growth means to us.
- If we are not part of the solution we are part of the problem, (a well used and over used cliché I know but true nonetheless!), as it relates to our child’s scholastic and social growth. We have to be more than lip service, we have to be willing to go the extra step, inch, foot or mile to encourage and show our children what the expectation is. As well as showing the parents what our role needs to be in the increasingly challenging times that budgets and pressures create for our educators.
- To continue to develop a partnership of growth and parallel teaching at home to enforce and re-enforce our core belief that we are “our child's first teacher”.
To recap, our ultimate goal is to identify areas where parents could do better, and then design events, activities, communications, etc. to target those areas. This project flows from the parent core values we have, those being as noted above:
