 Let me open this month's newsletter with a HUGE thanks to everyone who helped to make this year's BooBash Carnival and the annual Raffle a success. We knew we were taking a gamble by moving BooBash to Saturday and we were a little nervous before the event, but the turnout was amazing, the kids had a ton of fun, and our volunteers weren't half-dead after it ended so we are very, very happy! Check out the Rosemont Schools PTA Facebook page for pictures and video from the day. We hope you all had as much fun as we did! Also, if you're out and about in the neighborhood, please take a minute to thank our many wonderful community sponsors: Taco y Vino, bbbop, Lockhart Smoke House, Imagionaire Salon, Pixie Pies, Vera's Bakery, Skin & Body Solutions Spa and The Sunshine Stop. Congratulations to the students in Ms. Tawil's and Ms. DeNicola's classes - they sold the most raffle tickets at each campus and won a class pizza party.  Rosemont Dad's Club will be hosting their annual Family Movie Night tonight (Friday, November 2) at 6:30 PM at the Upper Campus field. They will be showing Transylvania 3, and will be selling BBQ Dinners for $10. Kids can eat free. Our 4th and 5th Grade students will be selling popcorn, cotton candy and drinks to help raise funds for their big annual field trips. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come join us for a movie under the stars!  Our next PTA Meeting is on Thursday, November 8 at 6 pm in the Lower Campus Auditorium. We will have student performances by 3rd and 5th grade students. Nachos, popcorn and other snacks and drinks will be available for purchase to help raise funds for student field trips.  SBDM and RS-PTA are hosting the annual Rosemont Family STEM Night on Wednesday, November 14 from 6-8 PM at the Lower Campus. We will be joined by the Perot Museum and Bold Idea, and our 5th Grade Science teacher, Ms. Houston, will be sharing how to build foam rockets.
